Too bored of watching TV? I know I am. One of the major advantages of web series is that there are lesser limitations to the content and the makers are not on a leash per se. Web series have diverse content, different from the same old love stories aired on TV. Here’s a list of a few series for you to start with if you’re new to this-

1. Bose Dead/Alive

Starring Rajkumar Rao, this series is one of those that everyone must watch. It revolves around the rumored death of the freedom fighter S.C. Bose. It premiered on ALTBalaji and Jio Cinema on 20 November 2017.
The script is well written and Rao has again done a fantastic job playing Bose.

2. Romil and Jugal

This is a one of a kind show, probably one of the few that talk about two people of the same sexes falling in love. They both struggle to come out of the closet because of the homophobic society they live in. It’s a great series of humor and romance. One can always watch such things to lighten their mood.

3. Son of Abish Season 3

As compared to Season 1 & 2, Son of Abish S3 is the better one. It’s like a talk show hosted by comedian Abish Matthew. It’s a fun show to watch involving comical interviews of the celebrities that he invites on his show. He also plays fun games with them towards the end of the show.

4. Life Sahi Hai

It is a sitcom showing the lives of four guys who move to Delhi. They always end up in problematic situations while dealing with bosses, girlfriends and with each other. It is a hilarious show with humorous script and performances are amazing as well.

5. Baked

“Baked” is India’s most ambitious original fiction web-series which chronicles the misadventures of three university flatmates who decide to start a midnight food delivery service. This genre-bending series takes you on a roller coaster ride as trio juggle student life with business, and invariably manage to land themselves into trouble.

6. A.I.SHA: My Virtual Girlfriend

A.I.SHA is the story of a relationship between a man and woman…only, the woman is the first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence Simulated Humanoid Assistant (A.I.SHA).
This too is one of a kind and India’s one of the unique and different series. The sci-fi genre sometimes goes underrated and this show should not be overlooked.

7. Bang Baaja Baaraat

Two people from very different backgrounds fall in love and decide to get married, but not without their parents’ blessings. Three days before the wedding they introduce each other to their respective parents and all kinds of hell breaks lose.
